Ropin Fools by Denny Lynn

So Daddy made good on his promise and got me my very own rope! I even got a blue one because blue is my favorite! We set up the roping dummy in the backyard and we practice in the evenings. I am getting pretty good! I can catch the bull - with a little help - but I can't quite drag him yet. I like roping with Daddy and Mama says it is ok, as long as I don't rope John - we will have to see about that!

Family Fun Trip by John Lee

Sometimes the timing just works! With everything going on at home, we were able to sneak off with Mama and Daddy for some fun time in Ruidoso. Between Mama and Daddy's meetings we had quality family time. We went to the Hubbard Museum - they have lots of cool stuff.
My favorite attraction was the stairs! Inside and out - I loved going up and down!
They have a whole section of things you can touch and play with! Me and Denny liked that part. I rolled around on the buffalo hide in the teepee and rode in the wagon! I also tried on a poncho and sombrero, but Mama was too slow with the camera!
Denny and I shared the seat on the wagon, but only momentarily - he takes up too much room!
We had a room at the Inn, since Daddy had a meeting there and it was a great place to stay. We enjoyed watching the ducks from our balcony.
Mama took me and Denny to the park while we were waiting for Daddy. It was great fun! I like sand and being able to run around free! I even tried out the slides!
What a fun trip! I can't wait for another family outing!

Ruidoso Fun by Denny Lynn

Mama and Daddy both had meetings in Ruidoso, so John and I got to go along for some fun family time! To start off we went to the Hubbard Museum - what a cool place! I liked posing with the horse statue!

Once we were inside they had a whole section just for kids! There were horses to ride, things to try on and even a real wagon to climb on!
I really loved getting to rope! Daddy was a good teacher and he promised to get me my own rope so I can rope at home!
While Daddy finished up meeting and Mama was waiting for her meeting to start, we went to the park! It was  just the right size for me and John! I loved the monkey bars and the slides - we took a break to watch some Scooby Doo in the van, but then I was right back at it!
It was a great trip! I am so glad we got to spend time together as a family!

Making Do by Denny Lynn

So with all the mess and water stuff, we don't have as many bedrooms as we did before - at least not that we can use. John can still use his bed, but me, Mama and Daddy are all set up in the office. I have been using my new sleeping bad that Uncle Rex and Aunt Lynette gave me - it works great. To stay out of the way while Daddy was cleaing up, we even got to eat in the office on our trays.
Mama felt sorry for me since we don't know how long we will be out of our rooms and I was sleeping on the floor. She got me a Buzz Bed that has an air mattress. I like it pretty good. We are making do with all the changes! I will keep you posted!

Happy Valentine's Day by Denny Lynn

Yea for Valentine's Day! Mama got me and John these cool shirts - I was excited because I knew Holly would be a princess and if I was a prince we would match!
At Ms Darcy's we made bags to put our Valentine's in. I practiced writing my name on mine. Mama even brought left over Scooby treats to share.
I love playing games! We had to count the dots on half a heart and then find the half with that number on it. I did really good counting.
Then we stuck hearts on our noses with vaseline and had a race! My heart never fell off, even when I went really fast!
I liked blowing up my balloon and letting it go - we were trying to get it into a basket. When Ms Darcy helped with the basket I made it in!
I got to pass out my Valentine's. Me and Mama made sock cupcakes for everyone, so they each got two pairs of socks!
When we went home we took Daddy his Valentine. We got him new houseshoes and a movie - I wanted to get a Scooby Doo movie, but Mama convinced me a horse movie would be better so we got Secretariat.
I got other Valentine's from Nana & Papa, Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Judy & Uncle Wade! It is so nice to be so loved! I hope everyone else had as great a Valentine's Day as me!

Happy Valentine's Day by John Lee

Valentine's Day was so very fun! We started the morning with Valentine's from Mama and Daddy - I got a Mickey Mouse snowglobe with Mickey and Minnie inside.
We had a special party that afternoon to celebrate with our friends. I really liked the brownies with chocolate hearts on top!
Mama came and played games with us - I liked matching the numbers on the hearts, even if I can't really count!
We played a game where you blew up your balloon and let it go trying to get it into a basket. I did ok. My favorite part was stealing the basket - that made it more challenging for the other kids!
I had fixed Valentine's for everyone. I (with Mama) made Candy Cane hearts and added some play doh for fun. I liked helping pass them out.
Me and Denny made this card for Mama and Daddy so they know we want them to have a Happy Valentine's Day, too!
After the big party there was still more! We got Valentine's from Nana and Papa, Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Judy and Uncle Wade! It was very exciting! I can't wait for the next holiday! They just keep getting better!

My Scooby Doo Birthday by Denny Lynn

After all the water issues at my house, it was finally time for my Scooby Doo Party! Uncle Rex and Aunt Lynette let us come to their house and host the party, since my house was kind of a mess and my ceiling was missing. Mama got me a Scooby Doo cupcake cake and set up my table with fun Scooby Doo stuff, including Scooby treats in dog food bowls! We also had popcorn in special popcorn containers.
When they came in, everyone got to make their own dog collar just like Scooby's - we put our initials on the tag and then had glow in the dark neckalces for the collar.
Everyone got a mystery pack with tools for solving all the birthday mysteries. We had mysteries with all the famous Scooby Doo villians! The Mummy was looking for Kool Aid coins that we had to find in the Scooby Tower.
The Creeper wanted paper, but only in pairs, so we had to match the Scooby cards.
Then Redbeard's Ghost stole the middle from all the cups, so we each had to make our own with Scooby and the gang to have a special cup to take home.
The Witch captured Scooby Doo and was trying to cook him in her pot! We had to catch him with the rings and pull him to safety! We wore our Scooby disguises to fool her so she wouldn't catch him again.
The Black Knight was trying to take the cake, so we had to get our special Scooby plates and eat it up before he could take it! Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me and I blew out my Scooby candle. We also had mini ice cream cones that everybody loved, especially John!
The Werewolf forced Scooby to eat all the candy and we had to pull the string on the Scooby pinata to get it out!
Then Miner Forty-Niner stole all my presents! I was a little put out about this, but all my party guests help find them for me!
I got all kinds of fun and wonderful presents!
While I was opening, John and Eli started cleaning things up - they are so very helpful!
To thank everyone for coming celebrating with me, I passed out Scooby goody bags to everyone.
We also had them all sign my Scooby box so I can keep it forever and remember my very special Scooby birthday.
It was so fun and exciting, finally we had to rest! We didn't make it very far in the Mystery Machine before we looked like this.
Thank you to everyone who made my day so very special!
