Happy Birthday Uncle Shawn by John Lee

Since Mama and Daddy had to go to Clovis for work, we got to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa in Roswell. We had dinner with Uncle Shawn for his birthday! I got to color my own picture - Denny did one, too and we spent fun time visiting with family!
Denny passed out the presents - I got Uncle Shawn a DVD of John Wayne movies and Denny gave him a Spiderman shirt!
My favorite part was of course the food! Here I am eating catfish (who gives a baby catfish? - anyway, I liked it!)
I am really glad we got to wish Uncle Shawn a Happy Birthday!!

Chillin' with John by John Lee

So I am a pretty cool guy - just ask me, I will tell you! I can reach everything these days and trust me, I do!! The other day I climbed in the bath tub fully clothed - too bad Mama had already run the water - I figure I could save her some time by washing me and my clothes at the same time. I also enjoy climbing in and out of the ball pit on my own!
I am never too busy to spend some time on my Mickey Mouse laptop (thank you Uncle Rex and Aunt Lynette!) I just type away all the while learning numbers and colors.
It is rough being little, though. Luckily I have an older brother to teach me how to throw fits and get good and mad.
I am mostly a sweetheart! I laugh lots and lots - a really gruff laugh with my deep voice!
But look out - I go from sweetheart to crabapple is 2 seconds flat if I don't get my way!

Happy St Patty's Day by John Lee

How cool is St Patrick's Day! I love to wear green and I know I would fit right in with the Leprechauns because I love to play tricks! First we got all dressed up and tried out our St Patty's Day hat - it was a little big for me, but I like it that way!
Me and Denny were all ready for a fun day!
Everyone made fruit loop rainbows - except me that is - I just mooched fruit loops - or stole them off the papers - the glue added a nice texture.
My favorite part of the day - besides stealing everyone's stuff and hiding it - which isn't really different than a regular day - was the cupcake. If you lean over far enough, you can eat the icing without actually touching the cupcake, but fingers work great, too! St Patty's Day was fun - any reason to party is good enough for me!

Happy St Patty's Day by Denny Lynn

We had a way fun St Patrick's Day! First we got to put on our shirts that say "Daddy's Little Leprechaun" - me and John matched! Mama even had a fun hat for us to try out. I thought a Leprechaun was a bug, but Mama explained that they are little people and they try to trick you because they are sneaky!
We had a fun party as usual! Mama came and we made rainbows out of fruit loops for our craft. Mine came out really cool - it took awhile because John would steal the fruit loops - glue and all!
Then we got to dress like a Leprechaun with whatever we wanted! I was the first one to volunteer! Just a note - the boots were not part of the game - that is what I wore all day - I wanted to wear my green boots for St Patty's Day!
We threw our coins into the pot and then we hid it so that sneaky Leprechaun couldn't get it! Sometimes he would move it, and we would have to find it and get a new hiding place.
Snack was really yummy cupcakes! John really liked the frosting! After snack we found out that the Leprechaun had turned all the animals green and let them out - we used our butterfly nets to round them back up. Mama would count and get them all lined up and I would say "that sneaky Leprechaun let them out again!" So Mama would hide them again! We don't have any pictures of that game because Mama's camera died! We had soooo much fun! I wanted it to be St Patrick's Day again on Friday!

Hand-Me Down Pots by John Lee

I found the old metal pot Denny used to play with and now it is just right for me!! You can bang it, roll it and mostly take the lid on and off! I love that I can open all the cabinets now! The spankings are totally worth it!

Partyin' At Grandma's by John Lee

We headed to Carlsbad for Pa's birthday, but really, it is always a party at Grandma and Grandpa's house! There is lots of food and fun - of course, for me food is always fun!! I even got my own Mickey Mouse chair this trip!
Grandpa fed me apples with dip - YUM!
I was not as excited about the birthday hats as Denny, I like the hat, but the string is an issue - cake on the other hand - no issue there!
I really liked getting to visit and play with everyone. Especially the blocks with Uncle Shawn!
In the end - all that was missing was a nap!

Happy Birthday, Pa by Denny Lynn

My Pa is 80 years old!! Since he was having a birthday, Mama took me and John to Carlsbad for a party. No birthday is complete without party hats, so I insisted Grandma take me to get some! I picked these nifty balloon ones!
Pa had to wear one, too - since he was the birthday boy! He lit all the candles - not quite 80, but we still had pretty big flames!
He let me help blow out the candles after we sang Happy Birthday.
Then it was time to open presents! I was a great helper, and didn't even try to steal any of his gifts.
It was a good day with family! Happy Birthday, Pa - can't wait until it is 100 candles!

The Saddest Sound by John Lee

The saddest sound in the world is when you shake the Nilla Wafer box and nothing happens because you already ate the last cookie. Trust me - no matter how hard you shake it - no sound and no cookie!

Entrepreneurship by Denny Lynn

I have been working extra hard gathering pecans to save up for a Woody doll - action figure as Daddy would say! We decided to sell our pecans and use what we made to buy one something for each of us (John and I). We had to sort all the pecans - they won't take the ones with hulls. Mama helped us out and we spent a couple more hours sorting (well, Mama spent a couple of hours - we were there)!
The next day we took the pecans to sell. They weighed them first - we had 46 pounds! Then they cracked some to see the quality.
Next our pecans went up the conveyer belt into the big bin! They even let me flip the switch!
Once we got our ticket, we took it to the lady and she gave us a check. It was late in the season, so we didn't get as much money, but not bad for my first business.
That afternoon it was off to Target to find a Woody Doll/Action Figure. I found one with a Buzz, too! I love it! John got a little people car set (but he really likes my Woody). All total my little business endevour cost Mama a few hours and $4.00 - See, I can do math, too!

Just Too Big by John Lee

Look at me! Here is the new math version for you:
1 little boy haircut
+1 striped shirt
+1 pair of khaki pants
= TOO big a boy!
I am growing up so fast and loving every minute of it!

Family Fun with Chuck E by John Lee

Yeahhhhhhhh, Chuck E Cheese! Since we had errands at the Mall, me and Denny took Mama and Daddy to Chuck E Cheese! I even got my own tokens. I used a couple to ride thr tractor with Barney, by far my favorite thing!
Well, my favorite after pizza!
I played some game, too! I am very lucky! Everytime Mama let me push a button I got a string of tickets as tall as me. I let Denny have all my tickets since I didn't really care - I was in it for the pizza.

Family Fun with Chuck E. by Denny Lynn

So after I ran into the wall and got the great haircut - Daddy needed to go to the mall. He told me we could go to Chuck E Cheese! I was very excited. He didn't know what he was in for! I even got this cool new Chuck E cup!
We played the games - took a break for pizza and played some more! It takes a lot for a little guy to win very many tickets, but that is ok. We fed them to the ticket machine and I got to pick out a toy. My favorite thing was a set of green vampire teeth.
It was fun to take my Daddy and show him the ropes. Chuck E Cheese is my new favorite place!
