Last Day of School by John Lee

I can't believe how much I have grown! From my first day of preschool this year until the last, I have been getting bigger and smarter!
I refuse to share my photo opp with my brother! He can take his own Kindergarten picture.
It is hard to believe that school is done for this year. I am excited for fun summer stuff!
For the last day, I picked my yellow Surfosaurus shirt, because it is my favorite.
I can't wait until we go back in the fall and I start Pre-K!!

End of Year Thank Yous by John Lee

I keep my teachers hopping all year long! I wanted to thank them for a great year, so me and Mama made them fun flip flops by adding ribbons in lots of colors.
The tags said "Thank you for helping me grow from head to toe...here is something to help your toes relax this summer." I signed my name to each one!

Then I picked the color for each teacher and put them in a matching tote bag.
I love to take gifts to people. I am so thankful for the wonderful teachers I have and blessed to be able to show them my appreciation!

End of Year Thank Yous by Denny Lynn

I wanted to show my teachers and classmates how much I appreciate them and to wish them a happy summer. For my teachers, Mama and I made special flip flops decorated with ribbon. The note said "Thank You for helping me grow from head to toe! Here is a little something to help your toes relax this summer."
I picked tiger colored ones for Ms. V because those are our school colors.
We included nailpolish to match their shoes and a pedicure set. I had to read the label to be sure we had a quality product.
We put each pair with the pedi-stuff into a cute tote and tied on the tags!
I loved my teachers so much, I was glad to thank them for all they do!
I fixed stickers for all my friends. These tags said "Thanks for Sticking with Me this Year, Have a Great Summer". I stapled them to a sheet of stickers and wrote each friend's name on them.

I hope they have fun with stickers this summer and I can't wait to see them all in first grade!

After School Thank Yous by Denny Lynn

I loved being in the after school program at school. There were always fun things to do! I had a great group of teachers. To thank them I made them each a special cookie holder with a gift card. We used CD envelopes and scrapbook paper.
I cut the paper to fit in the envelope.

I signed my name to the back of each one - Mama helped me write a thank you note for each teacher.
Then we put in the gift card....
...and a cookie.
I sealed each one up and added stickers.

They came out pretty cool and I know my teachers appreciated it! I can't wait to go back to after school in the fall!

Kinder Water Fun by Denny Lynn

To celebrate the end of the school year, all the Kindergartners have water day! Mama helped fill water balloons to take.
The hardest thing about making 200 water balloons is keeping the four year old out of them!
I thought it would never get here! Finally it was time to play in the water. there were all kinds of games and cool things to do.

There was even a big trough/pool - but it wasn't really fun, because it was so full you couldn't really do anything but stand in the water.

I really liked the elephant sprinkler.
And snack time!!
Mom got to come and hang out with us for the day, too.
Finally it was time for water balloons! We got to find a partner and toss!

Then the fight was on!!

After all the fun and games, it was time to clean up - we walked through and picked up all the little pieces of balloon.

I had a great time with my classmates - one more way to celebrate a great Kinder year!

Awards Day by Denny Lynn

There are so many things to do for the end of school! I am excited to be a first grader, but I know I will miss my great Kinder class. Our last big event was awards day. I felt so grown up all dressed to impress!
My whole class was excited.
We even got fun chick pins to wear in honor of hatching the chicks in our class.
I got the Investigative Questioner Award because I ask lots of good questions to learn stuff that I can share with the class.

I also got an awesome attendance award for not missing more than three days all year.
The best part was getting the medal!

After the awards, we got to share our portfolios with our parents. I have a wonderful book of all the things I learned this year!

I accomplished so much! A wonderful class and great teachers made for the best Kindergarten experience I could have asked for! I feel so ready for first grade!
