A Turner Camp Out by Denny Lynn

We have been waiting to burn our brush pile and have a cookout! We roasted hotdogs and marshmallows!

They were yummy! We started off with the hotdogs.
Then on to the marshmallows.

I learned about making S'mores! I liked them - they were good, but I just liked them a little bit, and I like marshmallows a lot - so I mostly ate marshmallows.
Then Daddy let us camp out. We loaded up our sleeping bags and headed off...

...to the horse trailer. We stayed all night and are ready to go again!

We are so blessed to get to do special things with our Daddy!

Backyard Fun by John Lee

We have a big pool to set up, but we haven't been home enough to get the yard set up, so Mama got us a little one to play in. We had great fun (even though Mama wouldn't let us put Baxter in!)

Water wrestling is even more fun than just wrestling!

It is nice to have a brother when you need someone to play with (or ride) - we love the water and summer!

Goodbye, Soccer by John Lee

We had one final soccer party with the Ninjas. Denny and I decided not to play this fall (we have other things we want to try), but we wanted to get together with everyone! We had a bounce house in the park.

We ran and played and had too much fun!

Then we had a water fight!! Complete with water guns and water balloons!

The Turner brothers were a formidable team!

Some yummy lunch, and final bounce and lots of goodbyes. A really fun afternoon - we will miss the Ninjas, but look forward to the next thing!

Summer Reading Program by Denny Lynn

The library had a special program over the summer. All you had to do was read for 20 minutes day everyday. This is perfect for us, because we love to read! We kept track on our cards by coloring in each day we read. We ended up reading for all 40 days!
We got stickers and book marks...
...and a reading medal and library tote bag!

We were so proud! We also got to read lots of cool books - what a great way to spend the summer!

Happy Birthday, Baxter by Denny Lynn

Baxter is 1 year old! His birthday is in July, so we had a party, of course. We picked out presents for him and cupcakes for us (Mama says dogs don't eat cupcakes!)
We got the party all set up!

Even Oscar was excited to celebrate his little brother.
They got party favors - rawhide chews, and they were pretty happy! I still need to take Baxter to puppy school, but he is learning everyday! I am so glad he is part of our family.

Happy 4th of July by John Lee

We love going to Nana and Papa's house! It was even more fun to be there to celebrate the 4th of July! We have been learning about our country and all our blessings, so the 4th of July was even more special. Uncle Jeff and Aunt Judy hooked us up with all kinds of fireworks.

Worms are my favorite!
All decked out in red, white and blue and ready to party!
Denny and I started on the celebration early with snakes, smoke bombs and poppers!

Uncle Jeff and Emily even came to play!
And we played...and played!

And ate...and ate!

The nest part is always time with family!
Nana even had some baby birds living on her porch - you can look, but don't touch!
What a great day!
Finally, it was time for things that light up!
And time to start lighting things!!

Only light with an adult, run fast once it lights and have fun! It was such a great day with family! I can't wait until next 4th of July.
