Happy Graduation, Holly by Denny Lynn

Holly is a preschool graduate!! I am excited because that means it is summer and she can stay home all day to play with me. I got to go to her special graduation and then out for a celebration lunch at Olive Garden!
I learned to add sugar to my water so it would be more yummy than just plain ole water - they made all the kids have water at lunch.
John really liked the breadsticks and insisted on having a whole one all to himself!
He didn't mind having water since he could use the bendy straw and drink it with no hands!
It was a very nice celebration and I am so glad I got to be a part of it!
I got Holly this cool Tinker Bell Graduation Frame to put her picture in.
Jace graduated, too, so we got him a Mickey Mouse one!
They came out really neat and I think they like them. It will be awhile before I graduate from anything, but I am really glad I was a part of this special day for my friends!

Denny Homemaker! by Denny Lynn

I love to help around the house and do fun things! It is finally time to start our garden. I helped plan all the seeds to start them before we plan them outside.
We have cantaloupe seeds and watermelon seeds and some pepper seeds. What I am really excited about are the pumpkin seeds!
I also like to help do other things. I even helped bake cookies for my friends at Ms. Darcy's. I put them on the sheet in nice rows and then Mama puts them in the oven.
They came out really yummy and everybody liked them! I even saved a few for Daddy!

You may have seen that we got some photos from Ms. Darcy. Since you have seen the many faces of John, I demanded equal time and so here are the many faces of Denny!

The "I Love to Play!" Face
The "Read to Me because You Love Me" Face
The "But, Mom, I Am Really Hungry" Face
The "I Love Hangin' Out with Friends" Face
The "I Take This Stuff Serious but it is Fun" Face (yes, that is a giant cockroach!)

Shower is Another Word for Party by Denny Lynn

Sam and DeLane are getting married. This is very exciting. The most exciting part is that this led to a party at church! Since Daddy was gone, Mama took me and John along! Here are my friends Sam and DeLane.
I helped lead games with Ms. Yvette and then it was my job to help with the presents. I helped tear paper, pick up trash and delivered the bows to the ladies making the bow bouquet!
When it was time for cake, I was ready! So was John, mostly we liked eating the nuts. It was a really fun "shower" and I am so glad to have been a part of it!

A Party for Eli! by John Lee

Back in April, my buddy Eli turned two! It was very exciting! Mama had to be gone, but Daddy took us to the party. It was a John Deere party with lots of fun farm games and made crafts. Here we are looking for needles in a hay stack!
I, of course, served as supervisor!
Denny made a great showing in the sack race! He ran/hopped and had several helpers, but he kept at it!
I mostly liked posing on the tractor - if my legs were just a little longer I could have pedaled away!
I am so glad Eli is growing up! We had a great time at his party!

Mother's Day 2011 by Denny Lynn

We love Mother's Day because we love Mama! Me and John made her this flower pot with our thumb print flowers on it. I picked out the pretty purple flowers to plant in it for her!
We started off the day by giving Mama breakfast in bed - I carried the donuts and John carried the chocolate milk! We had a special card for her and I drew my name in it myslef! We took her to church and then it was off to town to buy cabinets (they are finally working on the house). After working most of the afternoon we celebrated with Mama by having a popcorn party in our pajamas!
We were extra helpful and John even fixed Mama's bowl for her, filling it when it was empty!
The best part was spending time with Mama for Mother's Day - and of course eating the popcorn!
I wish we could have been with Grandma, Ma, Nana and the Grannies, too! We sent them special presents with our pictures on them and some flowers. I am saving kisses for when I see them!

Hot Days and Cool Treats by Denny Lynn

Summer is here! At least it feels like it - we have already been over 95 degrees here! Better yet, it tastes like summer! I am super excited to have cool treats on hot days - of course ice cream is a must! I am still a big fan of vanilla and the taster cones at Caliche's are just the right size for me and John!
The best thing is ice pops! I finally got to pick some out at the store. (Mama says they are popsicles, but I know from Special Agent OSo they are really ice pops!) I like the green and blue ones best. My first one of summer was green and it was dee-lish-uss!
John had a red one and he really liked it, even with a little sand mixed in!
It was fun to go outside and have my ice pop - without a holder because I am a big boy this year - and let it turn my tongue green! Watch out summer - here we come!

Our Baby Animal Field Trip by John Lee

To finish our our baby animal theme for the month of April, we took a field trip to Mama's office (sort of). Her office is by the sheep pens on campus, so we went there to see the lambs. They are so cute!
I really wanted to get close - I even tried to climb in the pen!
Mama was able to get a little black and white one for us to pet. I wanted to squeeze him!
Denny wanted to hold him before Mama put him away.
Eli was my walking buddy when we went to see the calves.
There was only one baby calf, but we all agreed he was pretty neat.
We finished off our tour with a visit to Aggie Pond to check out the turtles. It was a fun trip and I was glad to show my friends all the animals.
