Ahoy Matey, Come Play in the Sand! by Denny Lynn

We have our own sandbox! And not just any sandbox - this one looks like a pirate ship! Me and Daddy put it all together while Mama was gone. Once it was water sealed and put in the back of the yard it was time to fill it up!
You can play in the sand or be the captain and drive the boat! John and I both like driving the boat.
It was alot of work, but totally worth it once the sand was in!
We got to use all the new sand toys the Easter Bunny brought.
John learned that sand doesn't taste so good and that when you wipe your mouth with sandy hands, all you taste is more sand! He is silly!
I love my new sandbox and I am so thankful that Daddy set it all up for us! Now I just need everybody to come over and play!!

Easter Sunday by John Lee

The Easter Bunny came through! He brought us all kinds of cool stuff. I think it was that kiss on the cheek Denny bribed him with!
There were new balls (Scooby Doo for Denny and Toy Story for me) and new buckets and sand toys for our new sandbox. We also each got a new movie (Scooby Doo for Denny and Sesame Street for me). We also each got a new Thomas swim suit!
He also hid all of our eggs, plus the new plastic ones that Daddy got us. We searched and searched and finally found them all!
Then it was time to truly celebrate Easter by going to church. We got all dressed up in our new vests and ties, but Mama let us wear our boots and jeans!
Here is one more photo that Denny took of me and Mama - it was a trade-off. He would let Mama take his picture if he could take ours! You can tell by the look on my face that this went on entirely too long.
We finally made it to church and thanked God for His Son Jesus - then it was Texas Roadhouse for lunch and a nice Easter nap. What a great day!

Happy Birthday, Jace by Denny Lynn

Jace turned 5!! He had a cowboy party and I was so excited to get to go! John and I wrapped his presents and decorated them with horse stickers.
Once we got there we took a picture and then let the games begin! I liked putting the badge on the sheriff! And I did really good getting it on!
We played "Sheriff Says" and I was keeping up with the big boys! I even won a plastic boot cup for playing.
Then we chased the cowpoke around the campfire! When someone dropped the hat on your head, you had to try to tag them before they could sit back down in the circle. We were all really good at this and just kept playing!
We also hit the boot pinata! We swung and swung!
John didn't want the stick. This is what my little brother looks like when he goes to a party without a nap.
We worked so hard on the pinata that I has to take a break and have a drink from my new boot mug.
Finally, it broke! It was very exciting and we got to fill our bags with candy.
Next came presents. I got Jace rocket balloons - I can't wait to see how they work! John got him books with a decoder in them! I hope he likes them. He got lots of cool stuff!
We had a great time at the party! I hope Jace had a Happy Birthday!

The Lords Supper by Denny Lynn

On Good Friday we went to Church for the Lords Supper Service. I was ready to sing and got my own hymnal to follow along.
After we sang we went over to hear Brother Chip talk and then they passed out little crackers and juice. That took awhile, but then we had real snacks! I even stood up and sang "Jesus Loves Me" for everyone because it is my favorite song! It was a nice time to visit with everyone and remember the real meaning of Easter.

Easter Fun with Grandma & Grandpa by John Lee

For a special Good Friday treat, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! They brought us cool stuff, including this duck that sings "Here Comes Peter Cottontale" and dances. I love him!
Ms. LaVonne also sent us these cool chicks made out of cups - there is a string and piece of sponge inside and when you wet it, you can make the chicken cluck!
They also brought cookies from Ma - chicks and bunnies - when I tasted one I said "Mmmm"! Denny ate some, too, but honestly, I think Mama ate the most.
We all went to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny, then I hung out with Grandpa while Grandma did an errand.
Once we got back home there was lots to do! Grandma brought eggs to color. I, of course, tested them out before we colored them!
We used some of our stickers to make them special. Denny had Toy Story and Scooby Doo. I used Elmo, Mickey Mouse and some farm animals on mine. They came out really cool!
Then we got all kinds of cool stuff, including new Easter Baskets - a Scooby Doo and a Lightening McQueen.
We had so new wind up air disks to fly outside. Daddy helped me make mine go really high!
The best gift of all was that Grandma and Grandpa got to come and spend time with us!

The Easter Bunny by Denny Lynn

I have finally decided that the Easter Bunny is ok! As a big brother, I know I have to be brave so that John will follow my lead. I was very excited and asked several times to go see the Easter Bunny. Finally, it was time! Here we are in front of Bunny Land.

And here is the Easter Bunny! I sat on his lap and even gave him a big kiss on the cheek before we left!
It was very exciting - as glad as I was to see the Easter Bunny, I was even gladder that Grandma and Grandpa could come, too!

Our Easter Party by Denny Lynn

I have been so ready for a party! Finally it was time for our Easter Party! Mama came with games and Ms. Magan sent special treats. It was so fun! First we had to race to pick up the eggs, using our "paws" which we created with oven mitts. Even John got into the action - mostly he ran off with the eggs, but at least he participated!

Then we played Easter Bunny Says...when you had the ears you got to be the Easter Bunny. I volunteered to be the first one! I had everyone spin around, hop on one foot and raise their hands! I picked Patrick to be the bunny next.

Once we went inside I passed out my Krispie Eggs to everyone. I think they really liked them.
Then we made Easter Bunny frames with our pictures in them! Here are mine and John's.
We also made fun foam crafts with stickers! John had a bunny, but he was more interested in the treat than the stickers!
Then we passed out treats for our friends. John gave everyone a box of jelly beans with their own picture on it! I gave them Easter bubbles, because I love bubbles!
After a fun filled party, there is nothing like heading home for some Ravioli! John especially liked it!
I am so glad to get to have fun parties with my friends and my little brother!
