Happy Birthday, Daddy by John Lee

It is birthday season again! We start off with Daddy’s. Since he was gone to Albuquerque on his birthday and didn’t get a real party – me, Denny and Mama surprised him at the Horsemen’s Meeting with cupcakes and drinks.
It was pretty fun – not sure why they call them Horsemen – it looked like a bunch of girls to me! Denny picked a red cupcake and then we had a clown of the party – just look at those lips!
When we got home it was time for presents. Me and Denny got him a cool money clip that tells time and has our picture on it. Mama fixed him a neat frame with all our pictures in it. I know this was Daddy’s best birthday yet, because he had me and Denny to share it with!

Happy Halloween by John Lee

So if you read Denny’s posts, you know we had lots of Halloween. I liked it all pretty well. At our Halloween party, Mama let me eat some M&Ms, that was good. Ma sent us Pumpkin Cookies and I got a few bites (when Mama would share) and that was really good. Nana and Papa sent Denny and me each five whole dollars - I think I will use mine to buy something I can eat!
I didn’t play all the party games, but I managed to take off with a bowling pin! I had a pretty good time just being outside.
When we went to Ms. Tammy’s church I mostly rode in the stroller. It was great – I kicked back and people gave me stuff!
On Sunday night at our church, I helped work our table and hung out with Daddy. I ended up covering up my costume with a jacket, but I figure even the Skipper got cold sometimes!

My first Halloween was a big success and I am ready for next year!

Halloween #3 by Denny Lynn

Finally it was really Halloween! We went to our church to do our own Trunk or Treat. Mama set up a table to make “Pumpkin Juice”. Everyone got to put a face on their water battle and add orange flavoring so it looked like a Jack-o-Lantern.
We spent some time on the playground while Mama got setup.
There were lots of games to play and I played them all! I had prizes and candy everywhere.
I even bobbed for apples – sort of – I used my hand, it seemed more efficient.
When it got late, I went home with Daddy to wait for the “Trickers” and take a bath. I really liked seeing everybody and telling them Happy Halloween!

Halloween #2 by Denny Lynn

On Saturday night, we got dressed up in our costumes and went to Trunk or Treat at Ms. Tammy’s church. I was Gilligan, which I say “Gigglin” – John was the Skipper and Mama was Mary Ann. I have been watching Gilligan’s Island on YouTube so I know all about it!
I was really excited and said “Trick or Treat” and “Thank You” at each car. We got lots of candy and prizes and I only saw one scary costume – but it was just pretend.

I also tried my first cotton candy – not sure if I like it or not, but I will try it again. Grandma sent me this little pumpkin and I wanted to carry it for Trick or Treating – Mama brought my big bucket, too and it was a good thing, but I still like this one best.
Teddy needed a costume, too. I wanted him to be a monkey – Mama found my old monkey pajamas and it made a great costume for him! We had lots of fun “Trick-n-Treatin” and seeing all the fun costumes.

Halloween #1 by Denny Lynn

We had a Halloween Party at Ms. Darcy’s house and was it fun!!  I finished making my FrankenPuddings the night before to take for treats and they came out great.

We made spider cupcakes for snack. Mama came and helped us make ghosts out of tissue paper bells. They came out boo-tiful.

Then we played some games. We had motions for pumpkins, spiders and witches that we did whenever each thing was called out. Then Mama put a spell on us and made us act like dogs, cats and even cows.
We had a mummy race, put I was the only one willing to be the mummy, so Ms. Darcy had to race with me. We got wrapped in toilet paper and hopped to the finish line.
Ms. Paula gave us goody bags with these great teeth in them – Holly and I had lots of fun with them. It was an awesome party!

10 Months Old by John Lee

So as usual, 10 months is the best age I have ever been! I can walk – occasionally I run into things or fall over, but still, I am walking!
I love to eat, the more the better and I especially like big people food – like pizza. I even steal Denny’s pizza if he is not careful! Life just keeps getting better, even if it is going by way to fast!

Kite Flying by Denny Lynn

I have been waiting all summer to fly my kite! Finally there was enough wind and enough time to take it out in the front yard. I like running with it the best – I don’t get real concerned about how high it goes. I did manage to get it stuck in the tree and up on the roof – but Daddy was able to pull it down. I can’t wait until next spring to fly more kites!
