VBS by John Lee

I had a blast at VBS! I didn't want to go, and every night I tried to get out of it, but Daddy was out of town and Mama was a helper, so I had to go. It turned out ok, because I had the best class.

Each night we would line up and go in with our class for the opening assembly. Then head off to class.

I made gifts for my teachers - gift cards and a pretty notebook. The tag says "for my wise and noble teacher" and then had Philippians 4:8 on it.
Even though I didn't want to go every day...I found a way to have fun.
We got to be the first class to sing and we did the VBS theme song. I sang and did all the motions.



I loved my teachers! Ms. Rachel and Ms. Taylor made it a great week!
Even with all my silliness!
For the final celebration we had a carnival. I played all kinds of games and won prizes!


I may not want to go everyday, but I will definitely go back to VBS!

Say Yes to VBS by Denny Lynn

We got to go to VBS at First Baptist this summer. It was super fun! We had great teachers and lots of new friends to learn with.
Every night we started with the opening ceremony - including songs, pledges and skits from the youth.
To thank my teachers I got Barnes and Noble cards and a pretty notebook. The tag says "for my wise and noble teacher" and then had  Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." 
We preformed at parent's night. It was fun to show what we had learned.



I had awesome teachers! I wish we could go to VBS every week!
After the final assembly we had a carnival in the back parking lot, complete with hamburgers and snow-cones.

And lots of cool games and bounce houses. What a great night to round out an amazing week!

Our Pool by Denny Lynn

We are so excited for summer! We got our own pool for the backyard. We will be able to swim whenever we want! We helped test it out before it was even all the way up.

Getting shot with the hose just added to the fun!

We even got new riding noodles.



We love the water! Now we will be able to play all summer and practice for swim lessons. Can't wait to swim everyday - well everyday Mama and Daddy will let us!

Happy Birthday, Emerick by John Lee

We love for cousins to get older! Emerick turned four, don't let the 3 fool you, he is four.
We had tons of fun at his bowling alley party singing...
...and bowling...
...eating...
giving presents...


...getting prizes...
...playing games...

...and bowling some more.

The best part is always friends and family! So glad Emerick is four!

Making Projects by John Lee

Fun projects to keep us busy over the break! I loved making my firework shirt - I refused to do it at first, but when I saw Denny's I had to have one! Mama put in the cups and set the rubber bands.
I did all original designs (mine was much more creative than Denny's).


I love how I used my creativity to make my special shirt.
Next I got to play with bleach. I liked it a little too much, and this red shirt didn't turn out - but now I know better for next time!
I also picked a purple shirt to reverse tie-dye. I did swirls for mine.
After a few adjustments, everything came out great!

And I like the green shirt better anyway...
