Happy Birthday, Tanner by Denny Lynn

Party number 2 was all about soldiers! Tanner turner 6 and we are so glad he is now here so we can celebrate with him! We enjoyed the bouncy house, but we also loved Tanner's swing set and trampoline.
We had yummy juice and snacks...
Then we discovered Tanner had trains and horses, two of our favorite things!

He got lots of cool soldier gifts and fun stuff. He will be busy - I hope he has a chance to soak his daddy with the big water gun we gave him!
It was finally time for cake! We had a choice of cake or cupcakes with ice cream...
John had both!
We got more fun goodies to take home - including our very own canteens! We had to fill them up before we headed out to have drinks on the road.

It was so special for us to be included in Tanner's party - I hope he has a wonderful year as a 6 year old and I can't wait to go to school with him!

Happy Birthday, Eli by John Lee

Saturday was party day! We started off wishing Eli a very Happy Angry Birds Birthday! We were super excited to see all our friends!
J had built a life-size bird catapult to knock down blocks with. It was tons of fun and we must have shot it a million times!

And set up the blacks 2 million times!
It was nice to relax outside and enjoy a beautiful day!
Denny enjoyed bird bowling - knocking down the pig cans...
...and of course setting them up!
I checked out everything I have been missing from Ms. Darcy's.
There was yummy cake and treats - even green pig juice!
Eli got lots of fun presents - I hope we get to go over and play soon!
And of course there were treats for us to take home! I wanted a yellow bird - Denny got a bomb bird. It was so fun to see everyone and celebrate with one of our oldest friends! I have known Eli my whole life. So glad he is 4!

Weekend Working by Denny Lynn

There is always plenty to do around the house! From checking the hay barn for cats...
\

To picking up pecans and moving dirt - a Turner's work is never through!
Our favorite job is driving the tractor with Daddy! Work is fun when you have family to do it with!

Turner Pirates by John Lee

So, I turned my rocket into a car to drive around in my room, but I needed a pirate ship in the playroom. I had to stay home from school one day because of a sick tummy, so Mom found another box and used gift wrap rolls to turn it into a John sized pirate ship. I love it, and you can see I have lots of cargo!
I let Denny sail a little when he came home from school. It was a pretty good way to spend the day - sailing the seven seas! Who knows what we will come up with next!

Kindergarten Registration by Denny Lynn

I am so excited to be 5 and know that I will be starting Kindergarten this fall! Mama took me to my new school to get all signed up! They were going on a field trip, so there was a bus out front and I wanted my picture with it!
Then we found a welcome sign directing us to the library to register.
I got to do some puzzles while Mama did the paperwork.
Then I found a great Peter Pan book with really cool illustrations to read while we waited our turn to meet the nurse. Don't worry - she promised that she never gives any shots in her office.
I was disappointed that I couldn't stay and go to Kindergarten right then - and stay all day - but Mama convinced me we have lots of fun things for the summer and Kinder will be here before we know it!

Off to the Moon by John Lee

The other day, I asked Mama for a box to build a rocket. She wouldn't let me have it because she was cleaning out her closet and putting clothes in it. When she told me the clothes were to give away, I was very upset. I told her not to give away her clothes because then she would be naked! She compromised with me by only giving away some of her clothes. This weekend, I still wanted to build a rocket. Mama found some more boxes and some tape. Luckily, we had a box big enough for me to get in.
We added a smaller box for the middle section and a bucket for the cone. I needed a captain's chair of course!
I used my Mickey Mouse computer for a control panel.
Then I insisted on windows - how else could you see space? You also need lots of stuff to go to space - a lion, a duck, a monkey, 2 monster trucks, 4 Rescue Bots and of course a Dream Lite so you can see the stars.
Then you have your assistants close the doors, countdown from 10 and BLAST OFF!
Then you are on your way to the moon!
I even let Denny take a trip or two. It was a pretty fun project for a Saturday!

Birthday Fun by John Lee

I got invited to Jacob's birthday party! It is fun having new friends to get to know. He had a bouncy castle and monkey bars to play on.

We had yummy hot dogs for dinner!

Then we all crowded around for cake!

It was delicious!
Time for presents and goody bags...
...then a final celebration with poppers for everyone! It was so fun to celebrate with Jacob. I am so glad he is in my class!

Thanks, Easter Bunny by John Lee

The Easter Bunny came! We were so excited, we woke Mama and Daddy up to come see.
It was hard to wait for them to both get there!
He brought us new BIG Rescue Bots - Heatwave for Me and Chase for Denny.
We also got an air hockey game, new shirts and new shoes!
He hid all of our eggs, too!
Daddy and Denny are really good at air hockey and we both love our new shoes. Mine are bright yellow!
The Easter Bunny was good to us since we are pretty good boys! I hope I can be good until next year!
