Monster Lowe's by Denny Lynn

We haven't been to Lowe's in awhile, so it was time to head back! We got to make cool monsters this time. I did a really good job reading all the instructions and laying out my pieces.
John and I worked really hard putting everything together just right.

Finally, we had monster puppets, just like in the movie! It was fun to be back at Lowe's and make such a cool toy!

A Pool Party by John Lee

Daddy got invited to a work party at his new boss' house and we got to go! We thought the pool would be the most excitement, but then we saw the puppy!

Mama made us leave the puppy alone, so we headed out to the pool.
I used my noodle as a straw to try for a drink - it didn't work, but that is ok, because pool water is nasty to drink!
Denny and I enjoyed floating around - even though the breeze was a little chilly!

When it got to cold to play outside, we moved on to ping pong and indoor pool! These were new games for us and super fun.

After dinner, we went for a bullride! Dr. Hawkes let us sit on his pet bull.
It was pretty funny, and definitely enough bull riding for us!
What a fun night! We are already trying to get Mama and Daddy to take us back!

Happy Birthday, Holly by Denny Lynn

Holly is 7! It doesn't seem possible, but she is. I wanted her to skip her birthday, so we could be the same age, but that didn't happen. She had a fun owl party with the water slide and the pool.
All the owl stuff was really fun and pretty colors.
Here we could guess the number of suckers on the tree.
I had lots of fun hanging out with special friends.

We used the catapult to try and hit the owl with the wet sponges.

John liked the food the best!
He and Eli took sometime to catch up!
Holly looked so grown up!
She like the picture I made for her - I gave the owl a black eye because it ran into a tree! She thought it was really funny!
We were so glad to have time with Holly and celebrate her birthday!
I made sure I singed her birthday shirt, so she will never forget me!

Kingdom Rock VBS by John Lee

Yeah, for Bible School! We started off our summer with VBS every morning for one whole week! I was in the falcon class - I really like the flag and wanted to carry it everyday!
The theme was Kingdom Rock and it was all knights and castles. We learned great stories about Jesus and God.
We took our offering everyday to help with missions and even saved plastic bottles for recycling day.
I was excited for my program and ready to wear my yellow crown and my amulet!
I sang the songs and did the motions.
Then I sat with Mama and Daddy to watch the big kids.
I made my teachers special candles and wrote on the card - "Thank you for shining your light at Vacation Bible School." They loved them!
On my last day I posed with the flag one more time! I even wore green to match my class!
I got to bring home my castle with my picture in it so that I can always remember VBS! It was really fun and I learned a lot. I can't wait to go back!

Kingdom Rock VBS by Denny Lynn

One of our favorite things about summer is Vacation Bible School! Ms. Darcy's church had one called Kingdom Rock with castles and knights. We even got to share leftovers from my knight birthday party. It was extra special because I got to see Holly everyday.
We made crowns and medallions and learned all about God and Jesus.
I loved all the knight stuff...
...and I even wore my own knight hat!
For our program, we got to wear our crowns and sing the songs we learned.
I sang the loudest as usual and did all the motions!

Then I watched the big kids perform.
I made special notes for my teachers to thank them for teaching me at VBS. They said "Thank you for helping me "BLOOM" at Vacation Bible School."
We tied them to these cool pinwheels that I picked out - my teachers loved them!
Eli and I were in the same class - here we are ready for our last day!
I also decorated a castle to put my picture in so that I will always remember Kingdom Rock VBS!
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it a great week for  me!
