Fire Station Fun by John Lee

We had a special field trip to the fire station! It was Denny's birthday, but I am pretty sure it was all about me! We got in a real firetruck and I was sneaking to the front, but Mama caught me before I could drive it away!
We had quite a group with our crew and the Jimerson bunch.
We learned all about what firemen do and the firetruck. We helped pull out the hose, and then we got to shoot it like real fire fighters!

I liked watching everyone with the hose. I kept a close eye on them because I am the Fire Chief!
After our tour we had special cupcakes for Denny's birthday. They were yummy enough to eat with no hands! It was a great field trip and I can't wait until the next one!

Fire Station Fun by Denny Lynn

I got to have a very special birthday treat! We went on a field trip to the fire station! We got to go in a real fire truck and I got to start the engine since I was the birthday boy! I even got to try on the big boy fireman clothes!

I loved checking everything out and asking questions.
Once I fired up the engine, we got to shot a real fire hose! I got to start the truck and turn on the water.

After our tour and real fire fighter experience, we had fireman cupcakes to share - red velvet with red firemen on top!
They were yummy! I am so glad we had a special field trip and my friends helped me celebrate turning 4!

Bye Bye, Cloudcroft by Denny Lynn

We got to go up to Cloudcroft and help Ma and Pa clean out their house. They have sold it, so we had to load up all the stuff. It was hardwork. There was some time for fun. There was still some snow on the hill behind the house, so Daddy took the old trask can lid and let us sled.
It was more work going up and down, but the ride was sure fun!
John wasn't too sure anout sledding, but once he tried it, he liked it fine! We know Ma and Pa will miss the mountains, but they will be glad to stay home and relax in Carlsbad!

Gymnastics! by John Lee

Hurray for gymnastics! It is fianlly time for me to do gymnastics, too! We have our very own class for Ms. Darcy's. We start out on the trampoline - I like the trampoline! Not only can I jump, I am learningn to wait my turn and count to ten. Then you say freeze, and the next person gets to go!
We get to run and do stretches - I like running better than stretches, but I am getting there! Denny loves it all!

The Turner Boys are especially good at monkey type activities!

Sometimes I just need to hangout and relax at the gym.
We do so many fun things with Coach Lupe and it is great excercise!
I know I will just get better every week!

Sharing God's Love by John Lee

We have our very own Sunday School class at church in the nursery. We have been learning about God and His love for us. We learned that God gives us food. To share this, we gave out loaves of bread to all the families at church one Sunday. Here are Denny, Beau and Myles riding into servie in the wagon. I chose to walk.
Once Ms. Barb introduced us and gave the lesson, we started handing out the goodies!
It was a great opportunity to say hello to everyone and share God's Love. We are having so much fun in "our" Sunday School!

Buildin' Dinosaurs by John Lee

I like to go to Lowes for Build and Grow. I really like to have a hammer! This project was right up my alley! We got to build dinosaurs! I was so excited.
I layed out all my pieces by myself.

The best part of Build and Grow is that our friends come, too and we all get to make projects together! Here are me, Denny, Holly, Eli and Patrick with our dinosaurs!

Check Me Out! by Denny Lynn

I am very brave because now I am four! John and I went to the doctor for check ups. They set us up our own waiting area.
I weigh 41 pounds and I keep getting taller. I got checked out real good. I was very well behaved and showed John how to act.
We had to take off all our clothes and put on gowns for our check up. Mama tied it up good, but it was still a little big. I felt really grown up in my hospital gown waiting for the doctor.
Dr. La Fon listened to my heart, checked my ears and noses and looked down my throat. I am healthy as a horse! The good news was that I couldn't get my shots until after my birthday, so I was free for the day - too bad shots are for another day! But now that I am four, I know I will be brave!

Check Me Out! by John Lee

When you get to be a big 2 year old, life gets complicated. We got loaded up and taken to Dr. La Fon's for check ups and shots. I weigh 31 pounds!
I am growing everyday!
My temperature and my pulse were all normal. I was great at sitting still and letting them check everything.
I even got a hospital gown to wear for my exam - I thought I was a princess, but Mama told me I was an angel! Actually, at first I thought it was a blanket!
The best part of any doctor visit is the popsicle! I like the red, black and blue one! (Bomb pop - black, white - whats the difference really?) This time we waited so long I got mine early!
Dr. La Fon listened to my heart and lungs - everything sounded wonderful. I am growing right on track and very healthy - I got all my two year old shots. There aren't any pictures, because Mama had to hold me down, but I got over it pretty quick! It is very exciting to be two!

Happy Birthday, Etienne by John Lee

Etienne is three! How exciting. Birthdays mean parties, so we headed on over to his house for some car-tastic fun! He even had Mater and Lightening cupcakes!
I was especially proud of my Mater hat and pizza with snacks.
Uncle Rex brought out his special truck for us to see.
Cousing Steve had a police car there for us to check out!
My personal favorite was the tractor - I would have driven it off, but no one would give me the key!
I made a good passenger in Rex's truck, though and so did Denny.
Finally it was time for cake! We had ice cream cake with Etienne!
The frosting was blue!

At present time I was front and center to see all the cool stuff! We got Etienne roller skates to roll around the house! I hope he had a wonderful birthday - we had a wonderful time and are so glad to be able to go to his parties!
