Goodbye School, Hello Summer by John Lee

With school winding down and summer winding up, it is time to say goodbye to friends and thank you to my teachers (my teachers need a really BIG THANK YOU!). We got fun clappers for my friends. I tested them out and they work great!
We used a glue dot to stick them on a card.
I was good at this part.
The card says "You Deserve a Hand! Congratulations on a Great School Year, Have a Fun Filled Summer!"

Next we made something special for my teachers! I sorted the drink mixes by type to make them easy to count.
Then we put some of each into these great summer cups Mama found.
Put on the lid and add the tag - and TA-DA - thank you teachers! This tag said "Thank You for Quenching my Thirst for Knowledge!" See how much I have learned - how many three year olds do you know that use the word "quenched".
I have grown and learned so much this year and I am so thankful for my teachers and friends.

Goodbye School, Hello Summer by Denny Lynn

I am ready for summer! I get to be in the school age class with the big kids and I can't wait! I wanted to say goodbye to my school friends and thank my teachers. We used the graduation pops and fruit rollup diplomas from my graduation party to make cards for my friends. I helped tape on the suckers and fruit rollups.

The says "Congratulations on a Job Well Done. Have a Great Summer".
Mama gave me a choice of things to give my teachers and I wanted to do candles. We used letter stickers to put on initials - I did big candles for my lead teachers and little candles for the others.

The tag says "Thank You for Lighting Up My Learning". I was so proud to take everything to school!
Bring on summertime!

My Certificate by John Lee

I survived my first year of preschool! I wasn't too excited to go to our school program, until Mama told me I would get a certificate of my own! Daddy had to work double time to corral me I was so excited!
I sang with my class - I knew a lot of the words and most of the motions. I even added a few dance moves of my own.

Finally, they called my name! I got my certificate with my pictures on it.
There was even one of me and Elisiana - I had to show her!
I am very proud to have completed a year at school!
I am especially glad there was cake.
To celebrate - I ate the biggest hot dog ever (I ate it all!).
And then I danced on the patio.
Mama and Daddy got me a special book in honor of finishing the year.
It is about Curious George and has a special message to me in the front.
I mostly like school now, and I am ready to go back for more fun!

Graduation Day by Denny Lynn

Graduation Day was finally here! I was so excited - I have been waiting and waiting! We started off singing some of the songs we have learned all year. I sang the loudest and did all the motions!

Then those of us who were graduating got our hats (with real tassels to keep) and lined up!
Ms. Carolann gave us each a diploma, complete with pictures of us from the year.
I was pretty proud of mine - and my new hat. I was really worried about it falling off, because mine didn't have any pins - Mama insists that I don't have enough hair for pins, but that seems irrelevant to me.
Then there was cake!
After it was all over we headed to the Dog House for dinner - my choice - and ate on the patio.

When we got home, Mama and Daddy had a special present for me - it was the same Peter Pan book I found in the library at my new school.
Mama wrote the date and a note in the front so I can keep it always.
I can't wait to read it and look at all the wonderful pictures!

It was a pretty exciting year and a great night! Here is a picture of me with Ms. Patsy on my first day of preschool putting up my backpack...
And here we are at graduation...I am so ready for kindergarten - I hope Ms. Patsy is ready for John!

A Short Trip by Denny Lynn

Mama had to go to Carlsbad for work, so after my graduation reception John and I got to go home with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a short stay, but still pretty fun. We took a nature walk on the way.
I was very interested in the sign about rattlesnakes.
At Grandma and Grandpa's we spent most of our time in the pool! We are ready for summer and all the water games!

We even used our new water squirters to get Grandpa into the act!
We just can't wait to go back for more summer fun.
