Visiting Jasper by John Lee

It was finally time to go to Jasper's house! There are always fun things to do when we go to play with Jasper! I took him some turkey feed and a mummy bar.
We played lots of fun games...
...and got to swing.
I loved exploring the barn and all the cool stuff...
...like the bulldozer...
...and Uncle Larry's tractor.
We had yummy iced cookies - they looked like owls.
Then we had Christmas time! I helped Jasper open his presents - I got him a ball and glove and Denny took a paint-a-barn for him. I think he has already painted the barn!
I got a new puzzle that also makes a game - I have put it together several times since we got home.
On our way out, Daddy showed us the storm cellar so we would know where to go in an emergency.
We had a great visit and I would have stayed to play all day! I miss Jasper and hope to see him again soon!

Visiting Jasper by Denny Lynn

One of the highlights of any Oklahoma trip is a visit to Jasper's house! This year we had a pizza party with him! We even took him some of the Halloween and Thanksgiving treats we had made!
We played outside and explored...
we even got to sit on Uncle Larry's bulldozer!
I made a new friend - a cat named Monkey. He likes to be wallared, and I obliged. I really liked carrying him around and petting him.
We got to ride out in the back of the truck to see the cows.
Ms. Melissa got us special sugar cookies - they were yummy and extra sweet!
We had Christmas with Jasper since we had to come home and he will stay in Oklahoma. I got a fun new United States puzzle and chocolate tools!
Jasper let me play with his video games, too. I love cousin Jasper and can't wait to go back and play some more!

Happy Thanksgiving by Denny Lynn

Happy Thanksgiving! I got to celebrate Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with some very special family! I wore my turkey shirt that I made for the fair.
John and I had big fun playing in the yard at Uncle Jeff's...
... Fred (aka Dad), helped us build a werewolf trap. In this game I am Shaggy of course.
We got to wrestle at Papa's house...
...and eat a yummy lunch - and more for dinner.
I roped everyone I could into playing checkers - I am pretty good, but I was even better with some coaching from Papa!

When it was time to run out the energy, I found the rings outside and showed off my strength!
And played tag with Kayla - Mama is wondering how long she can keep me running AWAY from the girls!
It was such a blessed day filled with special people - I could have Thanksgiving once a month!

Happy Thanksgiving by John Lee

We spent Thanksgiving in Oklahoma! I was so excited to get to wear the turkey shirt I made!

We spotted a squirrels' nest just before we headed out to Nana and Papa's!
Nana gave me Scooby Snacks to hold be until dinner time - I gave a grateful "Scooby-dobee-Dooo"!
I took advantage of all the great toys in the playroom - especially the trains and the picnic basket!
Then a real picnic with a yummy Thanksgiving meal made with love by Nana!
A rousing game of hide and seek - I like hiding under the table!
And some tag outside - even some tag with the dog! All and all, I have to give Thanksgiving a big thumbs up - I even made it all day without a nap!

Oklahoma Travels by Denny Lynn

Fall means Thanksgiving and a trip to Oklahoma! I was excited for weeks wanting to go see everyone! Uncle Jeff and Emily set up a tent for me and John to sleep in! It was way fun!
At Granny Sharon's we got to play with lots of fun stuff - including a new fishing game. I was really good at it.
I even beat Uncle Jeff!
After lunch we went to the park by Granny's house. We like it because it has the big slide.
Someone even painted the bouncer like a skunk - pee-ewww! But it was a good ride.
I teeter-tottered with Uncle Jeff...
...and he helped catch us when we would fly off the end of the slide!
We checked for monsters in the trees...
...and took a family picture...
and took advantage of some other photo opps!
Here we are in deep discussion - don't worry, no chicken fights allowed - but if there were, I think me and Uncle Jeff could take 'em!
On to shopping - we do lots of shopping at the farm and western stores we don't have at home - I liked the derby, but mostly I wanted to wear it to the Kentucky Derby where Secretariat won.
Mama taught us to make a Santa face with bubbles in the bathtub and I insisted on a picture!
We visited the cemetery in Rose to see Granny Nellie and Papa Melvin. We had other adventures, too that you can read about in our other posts.
Before we headed home, we made pictures to hand on Uncle Jeff and Emily's wall. I used all my favorite colors - blue, green and orange.
It looked really great framed and hung on the wall.
Before we left Uncle Jeff's we got to open early Christmas presents! I love my new play pistol with sound effects!
Then John and I got new John Deeres and Cars books! We were super excited and thank Jeff and Emily for thinking of us.
We stopped to say goodbye to Papa...
...and got to help him fix his flag. It was fun, we have been practicing the Pledge of Allegiance.
Then off we went - one final shopping trip and lunch at Chilis.
Then we spent the night in Hereford and took a little time to ride the bull in front of our hotel. It was a great trip and I am ready to go back for more fun!
