Turkey in Disguise by Denny Lynn

For a class writing assignment, we had to help a turkey hide out for Thanksgiving. I decided I wanted my turkey to be a football player. I colored him, but it wasn't quite right. Mama helped me make a pattern and make him a new uniform.
I cut out all the pieces. I wanted him to be a Dallas Cowboy, so he might as well be the Quarterback.

He came out pretty great - way more like a football player than a turkey.
Knowing it is best to hide in a crowd, we made him a football field and added some other players. (Happy Meal toys).
Ms. Linda let us borrow Minnie Mouse to be a cheerleader - she says "Go Romo"! I love my Turkey Romo and can't wait to convince my friends that he is not really a turkey.
