Junior Rangers by Denny Lynn

The National Park has a Junior Ranger program. You get a workbook - your age determines how many activities you have to do to complete it. John and I each had to get 5 bat points. We did mazes, word games and learned about the job of a Ranger.

Then we took our books to the visitor center to have them checked.
Once they checked our work to make sure we completed our workbook, we became Junior Ranger!
We each got a certificate and a badge so that everyone will know we are Junior Rangers.

Before we left the park we used some of our vacation money to buy these cool miner helmets! They have a light on them to help you see in the dark, like in a cave.

I hope we get to visit more National Parks!
