The Red Mile by Denny Lynn

The Red Mile is a harness track in Lexington. We stopped by and got to watch them workout. It is called the Red Mile because the track is made of red clay dirt.

It was fun to watch the drivers put their horses through their paces.

The gates are strapped to a car the horses run behind and when the gates fold up the race is on!

It was a pretty place, too. Everything trimmed in red.

We had our own race around the paddock.

I hope I can go back sometime and see an actual race! It was exciting to be there!
