Oklahoma Travels by John Lee

Dad had a conference in Tulsa, so we got to go along and visit family. It worked out that instead of driving all the way, we got to fly on an airplane! Denny had flown before, but he was little and didn't remember. This was my very first time. We watched and watched for our plane to come.
Finally, it did!
We got to stop in the cockpit and meet our pilots - they were really nice, but didn't let us push any buttons.
We picked out our seats and got buckled in!
I took very good care of the milk!
If you ever need to fly, you want to fly with Denny and me. We know all the safety rules and just what to do in an emergency. Denny even checked under the seat to make sure we really had life vests.
Finally, we were up in the air!
Then to the airport in Dallas, where we got on another plane.
We had plenty of entertainment on our flights. We shared the earphones very well and watched some shows.
Mama had packed all kinds of activities to keep us busy.
We were glad to land in Tulsa, but sorry to see the planes go.

We helped out with the luggage - fascinated by the carousel that delivered it and still not sure why we had to give our suitcases to "those guys", but we got everything back.
While Daddy got the rental car, Mama let us run in the grassy area for service dogs! We needed to run after being such good boys on the plane and in the airports.

Our first stop was of course Braums!

We even got ice cream to celebrate arriving in Oklahoma!

How much better can travel get - a ride on a plane, Braums and a hotel that gives you cookies! It was a good day for all of us with lots of time together as family! What a great way to start our trip.

How We Grow by Denny Lynn

Ms. Tammy has taken our pictures since I was a baby! We recently did new ones since John is three and I am turning five. Pictures are a great way to look back and see how we have grown and Ms. Tammy's pictures are the best! I wanted to share some of the past....
3 months old
6 months old
1 year old
18 months old
And then I got a little brother...
Denny - 2 years old; John - 2 months old

And the present....

Thank you, Ms. Tammy for helping us make memories. The time has flown by and we just keep growing and counting our blessings.

Mom's Night Out by Denny Lynn

Our school has Mom's Night Out in January. It is our chance to show Mama everything we do at school. To start off we took Mama out to dinner at Applebees just the three of us!

Then we headed off to school! John showed Mama how the stamps work.
I showed her my sand letter book.

We explored some of the other works that we use everyday and had lots of fun teaching Mama how to use everything.

In Ms. Angie's room we showed Mama all about the puppets!
I even put on a puppet show with the frog and the lion. They were friends and the lion didn't eat the frog.
Then I read Mama all the books that I have been learning in class. I read her six books and I knew all the words!
It was really fun to be at school with Mama!

The Barn by Denny Lynn

We have shared before that we have a very special barn. Daddy's Papa Turner built it for him when he was a little boy. We have been working on fixing it up and it is finally done!

We set it all up with our Western town and about a million horse. We have some cattle now, too. We figure every town needs a train station, so we added one. It is way fun to play "barn" whenever we can!
