Teacher Appreciation by Denny Lynn

May 6 was Teacher Appreciation Day. I appreciate my teachers everyday, but this was a nice reminder to show them how much I appreciate them. I made each of them a special tea cup. I added colored grass to make it pretty.

Then we put in Snapple tea and lemonade mix.
All that was left was putting on the lids and adding the tag.
The tags say Oh "Snap", you are a "Tea"rific Teacher! I signed my name to them...
...cut them out...
...and tied them on with a ribbon.
I was excited to take them to school and thank my teachers for all they do!
To go with them I wrote a note to tell them what I appreciate most about what they do.
I have learned so  much this year and I see how important teachers are!

Teacher Appreciation by John Lee

I love my teachers! They take such good care of me and have lots of patience! For Teacher Appreciation Day I made a special treat for them. We started out with Snapple tea mixes and Mason jar cups.
Mama made the tags, but I signed my own name to each one! They say Oh "Snap" you are a "Tea"riffic Teacher.
Then I added colored grass to each cup. I used two colors to make it extra special.
You have to push it down real good to get it all in the cup.
We put in the drink mixes...
...added the lid and...
TA-DA - teacher appreciation gifts. I am always excited to take presents to school! What a blessing my teachers are to me!

Kinder Pride Project by Denny Lynn

For our Kinder Pride Project we wrote letters to people who are in treatment for cancer. We had a special day to present our project to the whole school. Mama, Daddy and even John came! All the Kindergarten classes sang.
We sang the World is a Rainbow, You Are My Sunshine and the Fairacres Song.

We all did really great singing. I hope everyone who gets a letter knows we care about them!

Literacy Week by Denny Lynn

We celebrated Literacy Week because we are all so excited to read! Monday was crazy about reading - crazy sock day. I even mismatched my socks to be even crazier!
Tuesday was reading marathon day and we got to wear our jammies all day!
Then we had wild about reading - wear animal print. My animal print was cow - not too wild, but it went with the theme!
Thursday was community day and also our Pride Project presentation, so I just wore a nice shirt and shorts.
Finally Friday was boot day! I always like to wear my cowboy boots!!
I love to read and I have gotten really good at it, so Literacy Week was fun for me! I am so glad I get to do so many fun things at school!

My Stickers by John Lee

Let's face it, I need all the help I can get! I am still growing and learning and sometimes I get too excited. I get a sticker whenever I sleep in my own bed all night. When I get seven stickers I get a prize. I had picked out this bunny for my first prize and I finally made it! I even took him to school with me for nap time. Now I have a chart for being good at school and not getting mad at my friends (or eating rocks, although the discussion about what cats and dogs do to rocks pretty much stopped that anyway.) I can't wait to fill up all my sticker charts!

April 4-H Meeting by Denny Lynn

I am always excited for a 4-H Meeting! This time I got to lead the American Pledge.
Makayla came to visit our club, so she helped with the 4-H Pledge.
She told us about the County Council and them played a game with us. I picked her as the first "Goose".

We had a service project collecting pillows and towels for the children's home. We made boo boo bunnies out of washcloths to send along.
I made a blue one.

We collected some great stuff. I can't wait for my club to grow up together! We always have fun and learn new things.

Readers Raise the Roof by Denny Lynn

For literacy week we had a special night at school. Families got to come, so we went with Mama to learn all about reading. We got to hang out with the Norsworthies and I was super excited to be with Holly.
We started off with pizza for everyone!

Then we learned a reading song.
After that it was on to sessions to learn fun activities we can do at home with our parents to become better readers.

I even got to volunteer as a reader in one group.

It was a fun time with friends and we learned so much!

We even got to play some games.

I love getting to do school stuff. I can't wait to be a big first grader and do even more stuff!
