School Days by John Lee

I don't always like to go to school. I would like to stay home with Mama and Daddy if I could. Sometimes. Mama draws a Mama on one hand and a Daddy on the other hand. This helps me remember that they love me and they will always come back.

A Swimming Field Trip by Denny Lynn

I love the after school program. There are kids to play with and a ton of fun things to do. We even get to take field trips! My first one was to swim at the aquatic center. It was a cool pool!

There are giant fountains and splashers - you can even move them around.

You can swim and play or just float along the river. I am not big enough for the water slide, but maybe next time! I had a great time swimming and was sad when it was over, but I got ready and headed on to soccer. I can't wait for the next field trip.

Playing with the Ninjas by Denny Lynn

My new soccer team is the Ninjas and we finally had a real game! We played good and we are learning to be a team. 

We warmed up and the coaches helped us get all psyched up!

Then we hit the field against the Eagles! We really hustled and had a great game!

I picked ice cream for my treat and Mama showed me how to dip my fries in it - I liked it! One game down, seven to go! Looking forward to a fun season!

My 1st Soccer Game by John Lee

Even though I am still not sure I want to play soccer forever, I did like my very first soccer game! I finally got to wear my yellow #4 shirt. I warmed up with Daddy and Coach before the game.

And once it started I got in there! To start with I got in too early (it wasn't my turn yet), but I figured it out eventually.

I liked hanging out on the sideline with the team, too!

Go Ninjas!

My favorite part was the cinnamon role after the game. I plan to go back and play more, but in my world, every day is a new day!

Happy Teeth by Denny Lynn

Since I am growing up so fast, I need to start going to the dentist! I got to go and have my teeth cleaned.

I did great! I set still and listened to everything I was told to do.

I even got a warm towel and a new toothbrush! It was fun, except the dentist found a couple of cavities I have to go back and have filled. I will try to do better brushing my teeth!

Writing Stories by Denny Lynn

Ms. V gave us the option of writing a story with an illustration for extra credit. If you bring a story to school, you get to clip up. My first one was about Baxter. I thought really hard about what I wanted to say and carefully wrote it out.

It says, "My dog Baxter likes to play with his ball. He is happy when he plays with his ball."

I even made a title page. I called it "Baxter's Ball."

Then I read it to Daddy. He was very impressed.

I have written another story about Baxter and Santa and one about Tom and Jerry. I would do one every night, but we don't always have time. I am becoming a great story teller!

A 6 Year Old Check Up by Denny Lynn

Now that I am a big 6 year old, I have to get all checked out to make sure I am growing just right! It is always fun to visit our doctor's office. They love to see us coming!

I am 3 feet, 10 inches tall and counting! That is the 75 percentile for height.

I was pretty relaxed and ready for my check up!

I even got to put on a gown.

Then doc checked everything - eyes...

...ears...

and of course reflexes and strength.

She said everything looked great! Then she had me pee in a cup. This was problematic, because then John wanted to pee in a cup and he didn't need to. Anyway - I am growing everyday and doing great. Six will be the best age yet!
