Kinder Valentine's by Denny Lynn

We got to have a Valentine's breakfast at school for my class. I made a special Valentine for each of my friends. They say "You Make My Insides Squishy, Valentine". Mama helped me cut the holes and we put in play doh.

It took a while to make one for everyone - but I got it done. I wrote the name of each friend and checked it off the list.
I think they came out pretty snazzy!
I made special Valentine's for my teachers, too. Theirs said "You Were 'Mint' To Be My Teacher" and we filled a heart-shaped bowl with peppermint patties.

I even helped wrap them so Mama could tie the ribbon.

We didn't have time to open our boxes at school, but I loved bringing mine home and seeing the special treats from all my friends. I hope they liked their gifts from me!
Kindergarten has been so much fun and each holiday is special!

Makin' Valentines by John Lee

I like having cool things to take for holidays. This year, I picked out rainbow candy canes for my Valentines. Mama took my picture with the big lollipop and made a card. It said "Don't Be a Sucker...Be My Valentine". The colors matched that candy canes perfectly!
We used glue dots to make hearts with the canes and then tied on the card.
Then I made special teach Valentine's. They say "You Were 'Mint' to be my Teacher" and have my picture on them. I attached a peppermint patty to each one.

Then we filled a bag with peppermint pattied and put it in a special star shaped bowl.
They came out pretty cute. I can't wait to deliver everything on Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday to Me by Denny Lynn

It is official, I am a six year old! On my birthday we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate!
It is one of our favorite places to go!
I wanted to sit on the saddle and I got to!
Then we had cupcakes at home with six candles to blow out!

And a few final presents.

I loved celebrating with everyone and I am ready to be six, but don't worry, I am already making plans to be seven.

Kindergarten Birthday by Denny Lynn

I loved my birthday party, but I was just as excited to celebrate at school on my birthday. We took cupcakes with race horses on them to share. I was very specific that we have chocolate and vanilla so we could ask "Who wants chocolate?" and let friends raise their hands.
I got to have a birthday crown with six candles on it and they all sang to me!
Then I got a certificate, a book and new crayons.
I helped give out the cupcakes - making sure they got chocolate if they wanted.
Sharing with my friends made for a special day! Kindergarten is even sweeter as a six year old.

Spring Soccer by John Lee

We were sad to see the Minions go, but they decided not to be a team anymore. Lucky for us, we found a new team and this time Denny and I both get to play! We are yellow Ninjas! We had our first practice and it was pretty fun.

Coach helped me out learning the basics.

We make a pretty good team - I will have to work hard with Daddy to catch up with the other kids who have played before, but I know I can get there.

We are excited to start spring soccer. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

Happy Birthday, Denny by John Lee

I love a good party - even if it is for Denny and not me. Luckily, a Chuck E Cheese party is for everybody! I couldn't wait to celebrate and play.
Grandpa was in charge of me! We had tons of fun!

When it was time for pizza, they didn't have to tell me twice!
I am glad Denny got older and that I got to share in his special day. It also gave me lots of great ideas for my next birthday.

A Chuck E Cheese Party by Denny Lynn

I have been waiting and waiting for my Secretariat party! But then, I really wanted to have a Chuck E Cheese party. Mama had the perfect solution - we took my race horse stuff to Chuck E Cheese! We had jockey goody bags in a variety of colors...
...and thank you chapstick for each family.
Mama made me a Birthday Boy shirt that matched my invitations....

We started out with game time!

Ms. Juli made my race track cake.
I really liked it!
We took jockey hats for all my friends.
I was excited to see everyone and to play! I think I managed to play with all my guests on something.

Next came pizza and yummy snacks!
We had my friends sign my shirt so that I could keep it for the memories.
I was almost too excited to eat!
I got a birthday crown and got to rock with Chuck E!

Then I got a special birthday medal - it is the coolest!
Finally, it was time to sing and blow out the candles.

Once everyone had cake, we opened my presents. I got so many wonderful things!

Even new soccer stuff!
Holly showed me how to wear my new towel that they made for me.
I was super excited to get a Captain America shield to go with my Captain America suit!
I even got a surprise from Keebler! He sent me a calendar filled with pictures of the funny things he did!
It was a great time! We cashed in our tickets and picked prizes to take home.
I am so thankful for the blessings in my life and being able to share them with my friends and family!!
