Operation Christmas Child by Denny Lynn

Each year we fix shoeboxes to be sent to kids who might not otherwise have Christmas. We save things all year and then put our boxes together. We put in toys, socks, toothbrushes and other fun stuff.

This year we made 8 boxes. John and I helped fill them all full!

We were even able to put in some books and games.
I hope the kids who get them realize that we care. I will be praying them, too!

A Pizza Outing by John Lee

Part of our prizes from the fair were free pizzas at Peter Piper. We decided to use a couple of them for a fun Sunday outing.

We are just the right size to play on the play structure.

And we found lots of fun games to play...like punch the ducks!
And ski ball.

And, of course there was pizza! My favorite.
I even managed to grab TWO dinosaurs our of the dinosaur pit!
We had fun trying out everything.

Then we cashed in our tickets for fun prizes like little ninjas and airplanes. It was a great afternoon with our family and I can't wait to go again.

Fall Festival by Denny Lynn

The first of November brought the school fall festival. I was so excited! My class hosted a book exchange. Everyone could bring books and trade them for tickets, then during the festival they could trade tickets for new books. We each had a day to work the exchange table.

There were lots of fun things for us to do at the festival!
Including bouncy houses...

...and even face painting! John and I got painted like puppies.

We got to go fishing...
...and meet the big green guy.
There were tattoos....

...ring toss...
...and wonderful friends!
We did a plant walk - we had to walk around while the music played and then see what number we were on.
I won this plant for Mama!
We stopped off to pick out some books.
Then we tried to put out the jack-o-lanterns with squirt guns.
We were really good at this!
Then we had to eat a donut on a string - we were really good at this, too!
Our last thing was to work the book table and help people make trades.
We had tons of fun at the festival and working our table - I love my school and my Kindergarten!

Happy Halloween by John Lee

After all the planning it was finally Halloween! I wanted to have black hair for Superman - Mama used painters tape and hair color to make it happen.
Denny was ready to go as the blue Batman.
I let my doggie borrow my cape to  be super puppy.
We loaded up and we were off!
Our first stop was Ms. Tammy's church for Trunk or Treat.
We waited our turn to go in.
Then it was on to the treats!

There were some games and lots of candy. We had so much fun!!
Our next stop was Uncle Rex's house.
We took time to see the turtles and play.
Then we went up the block with the cousins.

We had a really great time as the super family - Daddy was Flash and Mama was Wonder Woman.
We were just too cute - and we cleaned up on the treats! I am already planning what I will be for next year. We love Halloween!
