"PAWS"itive Student by Denny Lynn

We had an assembly at school. We all went to the cafeteria. The 5th graders played music, then there were awards.
Mrs. Norris called my name! I was very surprised. I got a certificate, a pencil and a coupon for a free ice cream at Peter Piper Pizza.
The award was for being a "PAWS"itive student - showing leadership and doing good things. I was really proud to get an award and I promised to keep up the good work!

Fall Picnic by John Lee

Denny had a picnic all about him, but I got a picnic, too! It was the fall picnic for my school. I told Mama I wanted cupcakes. We made them for fall by adding little candy pumpkins!
I helped put the pumpkins on and they came aout way cute.
It was a picnic for all the families at the park! We had a great time playing.

When it was time to eat we all got to say the prayer, ust like we do at school.

Then it was time to chow down! It was fun to see my friends and all the nice families. I am so glad I got to have a school picnic and share it with my family!

It's All About Me by Denny Lynn

Last Friday we had an All About Me Picnic at school. It was for all the Kindergarteners. We each made a book with our favorite things in it to share. I shared mine with Ms. Paula, too - and with Mama and Daddy of course!

We had to bring our favorite food. I picked chocolate chip cookies!
This is how you look when you each chocolate chip cookies on a warm day!
Mama and Daddy came and shared the day with me. I was so excited to show them how grown up I am and all that I am learning at school. I am having too much fun!

My 4-H by Denny Lynn

We have our own 4-H Club! I led the Pledge of Allegience at our first meeting. I get to be a Cloverbud.
For our first meeting we got to do fun activities while Mama and Ms Darcy met with all the parents.

I really liked the archery! So much I am asking Santa for one of these cool bows!
We made snacks, ceramics, tote bags and played games. It was too fun! John and Eli got to play, too.
I can't wait to learn more about 4-H and do my own projects.

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer by Denny Lynn

I love soccer! I would go to practice everyday if they let me. I am number 6 on the Minions.
We finally get to play games! Well, we have had two games - I scored two goals in the first one! The second one was cancelled because of all the rain and the last one, the other team didn't show up, so we just scrimaged on our own team.
I love going after the ball and trying to score!

John gets to be the Minion mascot since he has to tag along to each game!
We run hard and play hard! Then we get snacks and high fives. What a fun way to spend the day! I can't wait for more games!
Go Minions!!!

Being John, by John Lee

Ask who I am - I will tell you - I am John Lee Turner (unless I am someone else - like John the Firefighter).
Or I might be Knight John. ready to ride with my helmet, my shield, my sword and my trusty steed.

I really like to be sheriff John, but imagine if Sheriff John were also a knight - seriously, a gun and a sword, not to mention helmet to protect your head and your hat! That is the way to go!

Happy Birthday, Jacob by Denny Lynn

Jacob is 9! He had a Duck Dynasty party and we got to go! We had tons of fun. We had a frog hunt - and we found them all!
The we played pen the beard on the Robertson.
I could see through my blindfold, but so could everyone else.
John was the only one who really couldn't see!

We had a frog eating contest...
...and a donut eating contest. NO HANDS!

Then it was time for cake! We sang Happy Birthday nice and loud!
It was camo cake and it was yummy!
We had tons of fun playing with friends and family.
And getting treats!
Jacob was even nice enough to share his new toys with everyone. I hope Jacob had a really great birthday, because we had a really great time at his party!
