Trick or Treat by John Lee

Last year I had to Tirck or Treat from the stroller - not this year! We went to Ms Tammy's church for trunk or treat and it was awesome! I am really good at saying "Trick or Treat".
I liked putting the candy in my Scooby Doo basket and then occasionally choosing one to snack on.
I especially liked it when the kids were giving out the candy!
The best ones were the ones where I could pick my own. I really liked looking to see what was there and reaching in to get what I wanted.
We got to see Colton and Cady all fixed up in their cool costumes, too! Cady was Wonder Woman and Colton was Pistol Pete. Ms. Tammy made their costumes.
After Trunk or Treat we went out the Fairacres Volunteer Fire Department for more fun and games. I liked the duck toss the best, but what I liked about it was getting my ducks in a row!
We went out to see the firetruck. It was running with the lights going, so it was loud, but really cool! It was a great Halloween! I can't wait until next year.

Our Halloween Party by Denny Lynn

Party time is my favorite time! We do it up right for all the holidays! This year for Halloween, Mama came and brought some crafts and games. We started off making monster boxes from tissue boxes. I waited very patiently while Mama and Ms. Darcy helped make shapes to decorate them. Mine is pretty much all blue, of course!
I made mine a trash eating monster and stuffed all the scraps in his mouth!
Then we used our boxes for a pumpkin hunt! We had to find eggs that looked like Jack O Lanterns!
We had to count to be sure we found all the eggs!
Then we had a pumpkim sit! We each got our own "pumkin" balloon. While the music played we had to march around and when the music stopped we sat on our pumpkin and tried not to pop it.
Then we had a pumpkin roll. We tried to roll them with our nose across the floor.
I did pretty good - I only had to use my hand a little a bit.
When we went outside we had a pumpkin toss using the eggs. We were really good at tossing (not so good at catching - good think Mama boiled the eggs!)
Finally, it was time for treat! I passed out my treat bags to everyone!
I was excited by my own treats - we had gotten Scooby Doo fruit by the foot! I ate that first! I love going to Ms. Darcy's and it is so fun to get to celebrate the holidays with my friends.

Our Halloween Party by John Lee

I love to party! On Halloween, Mama decked us out in our mummy shirts and we were ready to rock! Our first activity for the party was making monster boxes. We used empty tissue boxes and stick on foam. Mama and Darcy helped us cut shapes and stick them on.
They came out great! Mine even has his tongue sticking out!
Then we had a pumpkin sit. We used balloon pumpkins. We had to walk while the music played and then sit on our balloon when it stopped. I wasn't much for the sittin' - but I liked the balloon...
...and the running - I mean walking!

We also had to roll a pumpkin with our noses. Rules mean very little to me, but I was very good at rolling it with my hand.
I had good times with CJ on the deck while the others played more games. He is my favorite toy most days.
Then it was time to pass out our treats. I gave out my bags, complete with the Jack o Lantern Nilla Wafers.
As soon as I got my bag from Denny I dug into the ghost pretzels!
It isn't really a party until someone has a bowl on their head! I love these blow up bowls! It was a really great party and I am so glad to get to celebrate with my friends!

Fairacres Harvest Festival by Denny Lynn

It is finally Halloween (sort of)! On the Sunday before Halloween our church had a Harvest Festival. I was excited to wear my costume and go to play! I was really excited when my friends came!!

We started off at the caramel apple table.
I just got a plain apple on a stick. That worked pretty good and I ate the whole thing - it was yummy!
There was a ball toss to win prizes. Ms. Yvette helped me pick a good one to throw at.
I liked playing in the oats, too. There were all kinds of prizes buried down deep - it was like a scavenger hunt.
I was pretty good at knocking down the bottles with the Nerf gun. Sam helped me get my aim and I was ready!
We also got to pose for a photo to go on our special frame. I was glad to have a new picture of me in my Shaggy duds!
We had a great time as the Scooby Doo Crew and I am so glad to be part of our church family!

Fairacres Harvest Festival by John Lee

Sunday night before Halloween we got to go to the Harvest Festival at church. It was super fun and just the right size for little guys. It was not really an ascott kind of night, so the scarves didn't last very long on the Fred's.
I liked the games, but mostly I liked the prizes!
The best game was the bucket of oats. It has all kinds of fun prizes buried in the oats and you could dig for them. I really liked finding them and didn't even really care if I got to keep them.
I also got to shoot the Nerf gun. Sam helped me load it up and aim.
I skipped the caramel for my apple, but I liked eating it on the stick. I probably would have liked the caramel, too. But since Daddy didn't want to wear it, we stuck with the plain apple. It was a fun night and I loved getting to see all of our church friends.

Halloween Treats by Denny Lynn

To get ready for Halloween, me and John made special treats for our friends! I chose pretzel ghosts. Mostly, because I like the pretzel sticks!
We dipped each on in Almond Bark. I was really good at the dipping!
Then we added raisin eyes to make them ghostly.
I counted all the way to 20 when they were done! That made two per friend with a couple left for Daddy!
They came out really great and it was an easy project for me.
John made pumkins out of his favorite things - Nilla Wafers! They had peanut butter in the middle, then some orange almond bark spread on the top. Mama helped with the spreading, John used raisin to make the jack-o-lantern faces.

They came out pretty cute, too. We were really excited to make a treat to share with our friends!

Halloween Presents! by John Lee

We love Halloween! This year, we got lots of special presents to make it even better! Two boxes came in the mail - one from Nana and Papa and another from Grandma and Grandpa.

It is so exciting to get a surprise package! We could hardly contain ourselves!
There were lanterns and movies! Even candy just for us. I find this present thing to be very serious! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa and to Nana and Papa for thinking of us! The only thing better would be if we could all be together for Halloween!
