Family Field Trip by John Lee

Since Denny's in the school age class this summer, they go on field trips. I really don't like it that I don't get to go. We took our own family field trip to the Farm and Ranch Museum. Our first stop was the Blacksmith Shop.
He taught us lots of cool history stuff and he even made us our own nail.
Then we crossed the bridge to visit the animals.
Back at the main building we had fun checking out all the exhibits. They even had a section all about trains.
We learned about dairy cows - my personal favorite as they make milk.
We even got to try out the milking machine.

On the kids farm we gathered the eggs.
Once they were gather we took them into the loft to poor them down the tube.
Then we could see which chicken laid the most eggs!
The fastest way out of the loft was the big twisty slide!

We tried out the ride on tractors and the row crops.
Then across the hall we found a whole exhibit about John Deeres including one to sit on!
I take tractor driving pretty serious!

Here we are with Mama supervising.
Our last stop was the Discovery Garden. Here we found an abode playhouse, dumptrucks, wagons and even a swing set.

I was just too excited to go on a field trip! I can't wait for the next one!

Excited to Swim by John Lee

I am so excited to SWIMMMMM! This year I am finally old enough to go to swim lessons and not just sit and watch. Mama snapped a few photos on our first day.

We were happy to see Holly and Eli! More photos to come later - they don't let us take pictures until the last day!

Happy Father's Day by John Lee

Daddy had to be out of town on Fathers' Day, but as soon as he got home we had surprises for him!
I made him this card at school. And as a special surprise, we got someone to haul all our hay and stack it so that he didn't have to!
Denny and I helped hand out the Fathers' Day gifts at church.
I was so excited I didn't want to stop, so some of the mothers got them, too. It was a great day to celebrate great men! Wish we could have been with Grandpa, Papa and Pa, too!

Jungle Jaunt VBS by Denny Lynn

More Bible School! This time it was at our church. I was so excited to get to go! It was a jungle theme - Mama made the Jungle Express for the craft area. She was the engineer and I wanted to wear my engineer hat and be her helper!

We decorated with fun animals.
Each night started off with singing and fun songs.
I was in Ms. Jo's class. We were the Boas (that means snakes). Here we are at story time.
We did fun crafts like making hats and animals.
We had dinner each night before we started - that was a big help since Mama had to go early to work.
I got to hold the Bible each night for the opening while everyone said the pledge to the Bible. I did a very good job.
I also enjoyed snacks like bamboo sticks (pretzels), jungle vines (green twizzlers) and zebra cakes.
We had tons of fun activities to do!

We also took items to send to the firefighters as our mission project.

I got a certificate and goodies for coming.
I took Ms. Jo a special flower to put in her yard to say thank you for being such a great teacher.
On Sunday, we sang our songs for the whole church to see how much we learned at VBS. I can't wait to do it all again!

Jungle Jaunt VBS by John Lee

We love VBS! We were so excited to have Bible School at our church this year! It was a jungle theme - we even used monkey stuff from our old monkey bathroom and my 1st birthday party to decorate. Mama was in charge of crafts - this is her area.
We had dinner each night - my favorite night was hot dogs!
My class was the monkey class with Ms. Reba and Ms. Gina.
I wanted to sing while Mama was cleaning up, so Sid held me up and I sang all of Jesus Loves Me into the mic.
I raised my hand to answer questions and even said my memory verse.
We each got our picture made for our frame and the slide show.
Here I am in my safari hat I made in crafts.
Beau and I had too much fun in the Jungle Express train!!
The second night we made binoculars! I see you!
Finally, we decorated our picture frames.
I was really good at putting on the glue!
It came out really great!
I got a certificate and goodies for coming everyday.
And I took a special candle gift to each of my teachers to thank them for "sharing their light at VBS"!
The Sunday after VBS Denny, Beau and I performed the song for the whole church! I had so much fun at Vacation Bible School I am already ready to go again!
