Swim School Graduate by Denny Lynn

After just three weeks I am a swim school graduate! I loved going to swim lessons and I was sorry to see it end.

I got a great new t-shirt for this year's lessons.

We made fun fish bowls for our instructors with trail mix inside. The tag said "It is O-fish-al, you taught us to swim like fish".

My teacher was Miss Jazelle.

While I was swimming, John played with his Pop the Pig and had lots of fun with the little hamburgers.

I learned so much! I can bob...

...dive under to get stuff...

...swim across the pool...

...chase the ball...

...and float along using my arms and legs.

I am already talking about lessons for next year! It was so much fun and I learned lots, even more than last year! It is because I am growing so big!

Happy Birthday, Holly by Denny Lynn

Holly is 6! We got invited to her cool Cowgirl Birthday Party!

First we made sand art necklaces! I used lots of blue sand!

Then I added other colors to make it a rainbow.

I helped Mama make John's, it was all yellow and white.

We played cowboys in the tree house...

And drank yummy cowgirl punch.

We found prizes in the hay stack...

And races our stick horses!

It was a great race! I named my horse Buddy.

I even kept racing after everyone else was done - it was so much fun...

...but it was thirsty work!

Then it was time for pie and treats!

Holly opened all her presents - I got her a new swimsuit for swim lessons and John got her a cowgirl doll.

Finally, it was time for the pinata. We each pulled a ribbon and out came the candy! John filled his bag full of Tootsie Rolls...

...and I filled mine full of suckers.

We signed Holly's special birthday shirt so she could always remember we were there and how much we wanted her to have a happy birthday! What a fun party and a great day!

GIANT Donuts by John Lee

Those of you who know me, know I LOVE DONUTS! Daddy found the most fun donuts ever at the new market in town. He surprised me and Denny one evening. The donut was as big as my head!

And it was yummy!

These are the faces of happy, donut eating boys! I can't wait for the next giant donut!

Fun Surprises by Denny Lynn

Yea!! We get lots of fun packages in the mail. Sometimes there are great surprises inside! Recently, we got all kinds of new fun stuff - including a blue poop scoop!

I also got a new riding helmet - blue of course!

John's is on backorder, so I let him try mine on.

We also got some new roping heads, so we can rope the bull in our backyard!

Finally, we got new hobbles, which Daddy tried out on me. We find lots of excitement in little things. So far, we have taken a bull head for show and tell, and cleaned horse pens with the blue scoop!

Ready for Swim Lessons by Denny Lynn

I have been waiting and waiting for swim lesson time and it is finally here! The night before swim lessons I have to get everything ready. Luckily, I have enough backpacks and stuff to back for everyday of lessons, so I am ready for the whole week!

Each backpack gets a plastic bag for wet clothes, clean dry clothes, a towel and swim goggles. Then you zip it all up!

With a suit and swim shirt for each day, the week is ready to go!

In the morning, you put on your suit and it is off to lessons! I got this cool new shark suit for the first day!



No pictures allowed at the pool until the last day, so look for an update later! I am so very excited to go to swim lessons!!

Build and Grow - Ice Cream Truck by Denny Lynn

This is what you look like when you are excited to be at Lowes! The last one was building ice cream trucks!

John and I both worked very hard putting our trucks together.

 This one was even more fun because Etienne and Emerick came, too!

Building things is truly an art! You have to follow all the instructions and put everything together just right.



And finally, this is what you look like after you smash your thumb with the hammer! Did I mention that you really have to pay attention?

A Bake Sale by John Lee

Ms. Darcy had a Garage Sale at her house. Holly and Eli got to sell cupcakes and lemonade. We stopped by to support our friends. They were yummy cupcakes!
