We got some more pictures from Aunt Tabby and Uncle Shawn, so we thought we would share...
Here is a photo of the favors and the scrapbook. Everyone got a pen and a post-it pad with Grandma and Grandpa's picture on them.
Here is the cake topper - it is the same one they used 40 years ago.
Here is a photo with the Best Man and Maid of Honor - they all still look pretty good for 40 years, huh?
This is John sleeping...
This is Denny because he needs to sleep...
This is John being extra cute!
Here are some more of our new rocking horse.
This is chicken nugget time - for the record, anytime is chicken nugget time.

Exploring by John Lee
I love being mobile! I can climb on things and I especially like looking out the sliding glass doors at home and at Grandma’s.
Yesterday I discovered that shelves can be fun, too – look I am on display in my changing table!

Happy Birthday, Grandma by John Lee
After all the Anniversary fun was over, we had a special girl party for Grandma’s birthday. I got to go even though I am not a girl. I hung out with Aunt Tabby and Aunt Martha and talked to all the ladies.
Denny came for just a minute, but he got bored and went to watch a movie. They played silly games like kiss the Elvis and guessing Grandma’s age in different pictures.
She got lots of pretty presents – Denny and I gave her a bath set with a hair twisty and a towel you can wear. At the end of the night we got a picture of the crew – Cousin Jeff couldn’t come, but we had Jacob with us. It is kind of hard to get a picture of everybody, but we tried!

Happy Anniversary, Grandma & Grandpa by John Lee
I love a good party. I was very excited to go to Grandma and Grandpa’s 40th Wedding Anniversary. It was all outside at Ma & Pa’s. There were cousins everywhere!
I took a little nap on Daddy’s shoulder to recharge, but then I made the rounds – loving on Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and whoever else I could find!

Happy Anniversary, Grandma & Grandpa by Denny Lynn
We got together with all kinds of friends and family to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa’s 40th Wedding Anniversary. We had a big party at Ma and Pa’s house. Mama even set up a section just for me and the cousins to play. Uncle Shawn helped us play games.
I think my favorite part was the cake. It was big – it had the same cake topper that Grandma and Grandpa used at their wedding. It tasted really good, too.
Me and John gave them a Kleenex box with our pictures on it so they can see us all the time.
Grandpa gave Grandma a new laptop with a webcam and I can’t wait to talk to her on the computer. It was a fun day – I was really tired at the end, but I figure I won’t have to do it again for another 40 years.

My New Horse by John Lee
Uncle Chet made me this wonderful horse! There was some mention of sharing it with my brother, but I have already laid claim to it. It is beautiful and made special just for us. I can even ride it by myself – but Aunt Martha and Daddy stayed close just in case.
It is a big horse and it would be a long way to the ground if you fell off! I can’t wait until he gets to come and live at my house.
Maybe Ms Tammy will even take my picture on him when I am bigger!

Family Fun by Denny Lynn
What an awesome weekend! We all went to Carlsbad to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa. There were even new trains for me to play with – the kind with lots of tracks!
I played lots while Mama finished getting party stuff together. I played my harmonica while Grandpa played his fiddle. We put on quite the show for John and Uncle Charlie.
It was great to visit with family and play all day!
